13 questions, answered directly. Where the honest answer is
"don't pay us for this," it says so.
Who is Main Course Media?
Main Course Media LLC is a Texas marketing agency based in Dallas, founded by Trace Christian, serving local small businesses across Dallas–Fort Worth and nationwide. We build websites, run local SEO, manage advertising, and handle social media.
We are backed by Groundbreaker Marketing, an established digital-marketing firm with more than six years in the field and 60+ local businesses grown, so the onboarding, reporting standards, and campaign playbooks behind your work are proven rather than improvised.
What kinds of businesses do you work with?
Local small businesses of every kind — service businesses and trades, local shops, and growing brands — primarily across Dallas–Fort Worth, and clients nationwide. If you are a local business competing against bigger budgets, that is who we built this for.
Despite the name, we are not restaurant-specific. "Main course" refers to marketing being the essential thing done well.
How does getting started actually work?
Three steps. A discovery video call to understand your business, market, and goals; onboarding, where you sign up, complete a questionnaire, and book a kickoff call; then the work begins, with monthly reporting and same-day answers when you need them.
You see a first design concept within ten business days of getting us your content and access, and the site goes live within thirty days of your approval — with no build fee, so nothing spikes at the start.
How do you report results?
Monthly reporting in leads, calls, and dollars — never impressions or rankings alone. You see what we did, what it produced, and what it cost per lead, with access to your own accounts so you can verify any of it yourself.
If a channel is not working, the report says so. A report designed to always look good is not a report.
You use AI. What am I actually paying for?
Expertise and judgment. A real marketer studies your business and decides the strategy, our trained AI systems do the heavy execution, and a person reviews every piece before it ships. Everything the AI does, we know how to do by hand and have done by hand.
The tools are available to anyone; knowing which ones matter, in what order, and how to make your website, SEO, ads, and Google listing reinforce each other is the part that takes years. AI is why one expert can do the work of ten, and that efficiency is why the price is what it is.
Could I not just use AI myself and skip the agency?
You could, and for some businesses that is the right call. What you would be missing is not the tool but the integration: knowing which of a hundred options moves the needle for your trade, how the channels feed each other, and what to skip.
The honest test is whether you have the hours. Most owners we talk to are running a 60-hour week already and doing marketing at 9pm badly or not at all. That, more than capability, is what agencies actually solve.
How is a small agency different from a big national firm?
You work directly with the person doing the work instead of an account manager relaying messages. We keep the client list deliberately small, which means real attention — and it also means we are not the right choice if you need a large staffed team on standby.
Above roughly $5M in revenue, or with several locations and in-house marketing to coordinate, you likely need a bigger firm. We will tell you when that is where you are.
Who will I actually be talking to?
Trace Christian, the founder, and whoever else is directly working on your account. Not a rotating account manager and not a support queue. You will always know who is responsible for your marketing.
What are your hours, and how fast do you respond?
Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 6 PM, Friday 9 AM to 3 PM, and Saturday 10 AM to 3 PM, Central time. Closed Sundays. You get a same-business-day answer, by phone or email rather than through a ticket system, and website edits are usually handled the same day you ask.
You are reaching the person doing your work, not a queue. If something is genuinely urgent outside those hours, call — we would rather hear about it than find out Monday.
Do you work with businesses outside Dallas–Fort Worth?
Yes. We are based in Dallas and most of our work is across the Metroplex, but everything we do — websites, SEO, advertising, social — works anywhere in the country. Local SEO in another market is the same craft applied to a different map.
Will you work with my competitor?
Possibly — we do not grant market, territorial, or category exclusivity, and we would rather tell you that plainly than promise something we cannot hold to. What we do commit to is strict confidentiality on everything you share with us, and telling you during the discovery call who we already work with in your market so you can decide with the facts.
Exclusivity is worth less than it sounds: it does nothing about the other agencies in your city, and the firms that promise it are often promising it to somebody else too. Confidentiality, honest disclosure, and a deliberately small client list are the parts that actually protect you.
What do you need from me each month?
Photos of your work, and honest answers when we ask about job values, close rates, or which services you want more of. That is the bulk of it. Nothing about our plans requires you to post, write, or learn a tool.
The clients who get the most out of this are the ones who send photos and pick up the phone when we ask a question. Neither takes long.
What if it is not working?
Tell us, and we will show you the numbers and say honestly whether it is early, whether the strategy needs to change, or whether we are not the right fit. Plans are month-to-month — thirty days' written notice to cancel, no early-termination fee — and you own your accounts, so you are never stuck in something that is not earning.
Some things genuinely need time — SEO at month two tells you very little. Some things are just not working, and pretending otherwise wastes your money and our reputation.
